The Universal's RAM can be upgraded to 128MB from its 64MB. If you highly technically skilled, you can perform the upgrade in line with this guide, originally found here. Otherwise there is a number of shops worldwide, that will perform the upgrade for you.
I got mine done at SRS in Germany. It took two weeks to receive the Unit back.
The upgrade is definitely worth it, as there is a significant improvement in running GNU/Linux on the Universal. Now emacs runs aside conkeror web browser without any swap, snappily.
When you upgrade, you need to use a Universal kernel patched for 128MB to properly suspend and resume, the unpatched 64MB kernel will not resume your Universal from suspend.
