Other GNU/Linux on the Universal tips

HaRET runs GNU/Linux on the Universal. Usually, the way to get feedback from HaRET, you connect the Universal to a PC, telnet in, and log output from there.

If you need output from a specific HaRET command though, it's not necessary to hook up to a PC. There is a simple procedure which will log the output to a text file directly on the Universal.

• Download haret-w.exe, originally found here.
• Put the command you wish to send to HaRET in the startup.txt file in the directory where haret-w.exe resides.
• Create a earlyharetlog.txt in the same directory.
• Run haret-w.exe and it will log the output to a haretlog.txt in the same directory.
